Around the world, kids grow up playing soccer anywhere they can—streets, parks, backyards, beaches. It’s how they develop skill, creativity, and a love for the game. But here in Portland, Oregon, pay-to-play dominates the youth soccer landscape, and opportunities for unstructured play are rare.

Fútbol Fundamentals was born out of a desire to change that. Over the years, we’ve built a soccer community by hosting hundreds of pickup games, after-school camps, and tournament teams—all free or donation-based to help cover costs and provide scholarships for kids who might not otherwise get to play.

But it’s not just about access—it’s about creating a soccer culture where kids can develop, compete, and enjoy the game without the pressure of travel teams or high fees.

To keep this group engaged, trusted, and valuable, we ask that those interested fill out a short form before joining. We review each request and grant access to verified members to maintain the group's integrity.
